The earth comprises 12 percent of Mati or soil and the rest of water. According to the Indian belief system, our body is made of 5 elements or "Paanchatatva" and one of these 5 elements is "Mati" or soil. We even refer to our bodies as soil and soil impacts our lives in so many ways.
In day-to-day life, we come in contact with different forms of soil, like mud, sand, stone, clay, powder and many more. It has different colors and textures.
This piece is a sincere effort to capture the different sounds, textures, colors, tastes and smells of "Mati", which has a magical quality, that can create and nourish Life.
