TALES FROM 9 CONTINENTS  by Praline Gay Para | France
Cancelled : Due to health reasons the artist is not able to travel to India

Praline Gay-Para’s creations question the world.
Pavé Volubile promotes the art of storytelling through contemporary artistic forms, creating performances as well as ephemeral and public events. It collects urban narratives, gives storytelling workshops and lectures on oral literature. It promotes the interaction between different artistic practices to widen the fields of creation.
Praline Gay-Para has been working for years with musicians, singers, dancers and puppeteers. A PhD in ethno- linguistics, her research in the field of oral traditions is still a passion.
The work of the company is based on three issues:
—International repertoire of folktales, through a contemporary point of view.
—Residencies in cities or neighbourhoods; meeting, listening to, and collecting, peoples’ testimonies and life stories in order to write shows.
—Transmission: Praline Gay-Para proposes storytelling conferences around multiple themes.
She gives workshops on repertoire and narrative performance for storytellers, comedians, dancers, early-childhood workers, librarians and teachers.
She also helps artists writing their own shows.
She has published many children books and many collections of folktales from around the world.
