ThinkArts has collaborated with the Indian Museum, Kolkata, the Victoria Memorial Hall Museum, the Calcutta Gallery at the Victoria Memorial, Chennai Photo Biennale, Serendipity Arts Festival, Birla Academy, and the Heritage Transport Museum to design creative trails and activities for children. These trails invite young visitors to engage with artworks, heritage spaces, and history in playful yet meaningful ways. While the children may seem to be simply playing, they leave with lasting connections to the museum and its artefacts.
Our activity trails use critical and creative prompts to spark curiosity. Children are encouraged to look closely, play, and make meaning from the artworks and spaces around them. Researchers note that such creative interventions can transform adult-oriented spaces for young visitors: they “choreograph a gaze,” helping children notice, touch, and connect.
Through our trails, we continue to create pathways where children can explore, imagine, and build relationships with art and heritage — experiences that stay with them long after the trail ends.
