The lonely king and queen

‘The Lonely King and Queen’ is a play based on a story by Deepa Balsavar, published by Tulika Books.

Sarah Argent & Kevin Lewis from Wales, UK worked with two ThinkArts associate artists to create this play. The project was supported by Wales Arts International. We premeired the play on 27th April 2019 at Kolkata Centre for Creativity.

A lonely king and queen hear a voice calling out to them and it keeps getting louder by the minute…. gently humorous and told like a bedtime story this new stage adaptation brings to life Deepa Balsavar's beautifully-illustrated children's book.
