LITTU

While enjoying time by a river during a family vacation, two sisters start collecting pebbles and stones of different shapes and colours. After getting a scolding from their mother, the elder one throws them away but the younger one manages to get one such pebble back to their home in Kolkata.
They name the pebble Littu and spend  all their time with Littu.

One day as they try to create the ambience of the place they have been to, Littu becomes different, as it grows rough texture with some dark spots on it. The two sisters understand that Littu is not well.
They promise to Littu that they will take it back to where it belongs.

Jhalapala is a Kolkata based theatre group for children aiming to make theatre activity a source of creative joy. Founded on 2nd November 1996, Jhalapala has sailed through a long and exciting way. As a centre to peer the routes and roads of creative expression through which childhood blooms to its excellence, Jhalapala emerged as a place for vibrant theatre activities. Since then it is a continuous journey of learning, joy and creativity. Jhalapala believes – ‘Theatre is a trusted mirror of human history and life.’ Through its theatre activities with children Jhalapala not only tries to capture that reflection but also aims at reconstructing a new enthusiasm for life.
