FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES
2021
The ThinkArts International Festival for Young Audiences was started in 2019 as a biennial festival to introduce children to brilliant plays and performance pieces from across the world, while also providing a platform to showcase some of the wonderful work being created by artists in india. With the lockdown in 2020, meeting young people and engaging with them in schools and theatres suddenly took a pause. But creativity is not limited to physical spaces, boxes, seats, or venues... So the festival is back! Online this year, with a new hope to reach more children, teachers, artists, families to share creative experiences and to come together, in a new way, to celebrate work that gives us joy and resilience so we can keep imagining! |
This year, from 14th to 24th November, ten wonderful pieces were presented online at the ThinkArts International Festival for Young Audiences. The festival featured shows from Australia, Germany, India, Indonesia, and Switzerland.
Each show was available as an on-demand video for a week. Tickets were available on "Pay As You Wish" basis. Featured artists and companies: Varun Narain from India with Omar and the Underworld Helios Theater from Germany with Circles Kinnara Mela from India with Somari Volya Chamar Bell Clochette from Switzerland with Robot Rasa Theatre Collective from India with Gajam Swangvale from India with Mati Tandra Kundu from India with Moon's Magic Slingsby from Australia with The Young King Akriti Singh from India with Monsters and Dragon Papermoon Puppet Theatre from Indonesia with A Bucket of Beetles |
